HOW TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE?
On February 23 2019, the Studio Bartels Foundation was brought to life by Eva Bartels to function as an overarching platform for and also source of all artistic research by Eva Bartels.
With this foundation she aims to initiate, produce or execute cultural productions and projects in the field of theatre, art, film, (multi) media and other art forms.
Eva Bartels researches the norms and values established in society and researching the diversity of the individual through various art forms.
Her dream is to accommodate various art forms and to let each other strengthen and grow. With attention to the essence and necessary of every research in which the form is used in a useful and powerful way for each project.
In 2019, Studio Bartels received support from AFK and the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds to create the Parade show Come Unity and to set up theater Collectief POLY POLY.
In 2022 Studio Bartels received support from Fonds Podium Kusten and the Dutch Embassy in South Africa to create the multimedia theater show Irma, playing at Artscape in Cape Town South Africa and Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
The board of the Studio Bartels Foundation consists of Floor Wullems, Nina Folkersma, Vevi van der Vliet en Lucy Tegelaar.
Studio Bartels aims, among other things, to draw attention to transformation through expansion and deepening our experience of what it means to be human, approaching various art forms. It’s progressive and explorative by nature and researches longterm sustainable relationships.
